No... Don't prepsol it. 'Scuff stuff' will get rid of any grease or wax on it. Just use that and then hose off and use an air blower to dry.
But defiantly use plastic primer as you will hate...
Go to a paint supplier, give them your paint code. They will mix up some paint for you aswell as colour match it to your car.
While you're there, get yourself some plastic primer, some sand paper...
