I started this thread years ago when i 1st got a honda and since i dont drive one anymore, its been answered time to close i think..

Dyno is a low reader...
I got 120whp in same dyno with stock B18c...

I baught the 403s with springs retainers...
Sold them of and got a EG and put a B18c in it....
Seriously not worth it unless your planning on doing mayor work to the motor...

Them cams werent cheap 2k with springs and retainers...
Then a proven header(ie TODA,BC) 1500
Skunk2 manifold 500
Exhaust 500
ECU & tune 2k +
budget 7k LOL
Easy buy and fit a B18c or half way...

In par with my Sir-G teg casty to be exact...

That new thermostat opened alot later than honda one..
I put old thermostat back with type2 coolant and fan comes on at 92c so it doesnt idle over that...
Gonna go try to get my money back on that...

My cousing has a Si with a K20 drove it went ok, prob just a bit quicker than our CTR here...

It should be were the top radiator hose feeds the heads, i didnt have one before i took the part of and got it swaped at honbits..

so running with out a thermostat is not a good idea???

i took out an oem one
its only 2 yrs old will it still be good
i think the reason it was getting to mid 90s before was the coolant was crappy

fan was working fine until i changed the thermostat

its a 82c thermostat but lower hose stays cool till 100c
could this part bit faulty

bled it yes...
till it was just a stream of coolant coming out..
I didnt turn the heater on but would that be an issue??

Is there any issues with doing this???
Apart from taking ages to warm up???
