There are a few large bearings but as Adrian has said above, the ISB is usually the first one to go as it sits furthest from the oil and it's an open bearing (not sealed).

to answer your question: yes it's doable with springs and shocks. I think with the yellow koni, the bottom perch sits the car 1" lower than stock and if you install lowered springs (eibach or kings)...
