How about using a siphon pump with the suction tube going into the fill/dipstick hole? Would that take more of the old fluid out in the first place?

Have you considered ceramic coating? Never done it personally, but i've heard good things about them.

If I had a CL9 and was in the market to upgrade the stock console, I think I would get it. The GUI may not be up to oem standards but it does the job.

If it breaks, just put the old one back in....

Thats a bit of a waste...i mean, the higher performance fluid is in the reservoir while a lower spec fluid is in the lines, doing the actual work. Brake fluid doesn't circulate.

Only if he does it properly and does not let the fluid levels get too low. I normally let the fluid drain until it goes close to emptying the reservoir. Then fill it with fresh fluid.

ah ok. The $8 is for standard shipping which could mean any one of dhl/fedex/ups/iparcel. However, it would seem the iparcel version of standard shipping is much worse than the others. :(

Most likely they did a tyre rotation, but the switch caused the uneven wear to be noticeable. Just a guess.

By itself, that may well be the case. However, just because the oil use Group 5 basestocks doesn't mean it won't have additives and other basestock to provide the desired performance characteristics....

If you are just topping up a little, then plain tap water is fine. Ideally, you should use distilled/RO water as it doesnt contain minerals etc that can cause corrosion.

A few questions:
1. Was the radiator fan on when the temperature gauge was 'over'?
2. Can you see any water in the radiator? or any in the overflow reservoir?

Just another quick point, I think sticking with the main brands is a good idea. However, no 'brands' as a whole is better than another. A high performance kumho will outperform a midrange...

If you cant hear much with your foot off the clutch, but it gets noisy when your foot is on the clutch then its quite likely to be your throwout...

iirc, the edges of the filter somehow 'clips' or is wedged into a slot. I think this makes it more airtight...so the air is less able to flow around (vs. through) the filter.
