You will need custom seat rails to fit seats into an ed civic unless you buy aftermarket seat with rails made to fit the ed.

I fitted some del sol seat in my ed, had to make my own seat rails...

It would be a good project for you to do your self as labour would cost heaps if you want every thing swaped over.
If you have the crx manuel it wont be to hard.

You should be able to move the rack slightly without taking the arms off.
Your should try and lean the rack slightly towards the front end of the car just to get to the rear bolt, i only had to move...

Drop your steering rack down and it makes it simple.
Take the 4 bolts off the rack, pull the rackdwon slightly and lean it to the front of the engine bay and should be able to get it off.

Could be your sussy bushes, steering rack or your cv's.
I had a similar problem and found my steering rack was dead and my rear mount was torn to bits....
Put the car on a hoist if ya can access...

ED'S are great little cars but if you are going to do an engine conversion you need to replace alot of things and will need alot of cash....I talk from experience as i have been upgrading my ed for...
