i think if you have disc brakes on all four wheels it should be fine
the engineer will compare the power from a B16A to B18CR
make sure the rest of the car is legal as you may need to fix that too

i dont know about older or newer engines but i know that you have to compare the power from an EG and Teg
brake upgrade may be needed if the power ratio is too big...stock airbox is...
i would pay for a good aftermarket ecu
after you installd new workd motor just retune
a workd motor with a piggyback/chippd ecu is no good as i have done these before
