which of the 3 black rings did u undo.. you are meant to do the bottom most one. sounds like u have undone the spring perch and it hasnt seated properly.

aircon out shouldnt mean the vents dont work, just open them, crack the window for front windscreen. for rear the de-misters should still work...

when i was running 18x9.5 +25's i had -4 in the rear and -1.5 in the front. plenty of space for lock + strut clearance. (no pull in the front - roll only)

only becuase I didnt want to get done either.

As to address your "sound nice" we clearly need more info, ill try help you out with lowering.

You have a few options when lowering, but these all depend on what you want and how low you want to...

Its prolly best to get the guards rolled tho, would make life easy :) I think i paid around $60 a corner, cant quite remember.

Go 18x8.5 imo, bigger than 18" look odd on our car imo.
