Mmmm you also have to prove that you've owned it for a year and from what I remember prove that you actually use it eg rego papers, insurance papers if applicable etc etc (not just store it overseas...
lol.... except for the tyres... but I guess they can change when ur current ones run out... :)
I have a whiteline rear sway (adjustable) and it's great.... it's made the car handling soooo much...
good choice of mods in the end.... all the best!
redbook is notorious for undervaluing cars
Mmmm what tofu said...
I went from top fuel power chamber SRI (prob one of the better designed SRIs as it directs the air filter away from the headers and engine) to Gruppe M.... there was soooo...
From a DC5R owner's perspective I'd go:
rear sway $225
coilovers $1800
CAI $400+
K100 ECU (hondata) ~$1500 incl tuning I think
then probably good tyres ~$1k
or if u want some looks - 17"...
if it's for K20A2 dont get an Apexi SRI....
I've seen 2 seperate dynos of SRI with the *bonnet up* and the lost power....
Adrian, I cant find any AUDM DC5R products on the toda australia website.... can u post the URL? Thanks
Lol remember that the twin loop was designed for street use not for outright power. The Mugen N1 exhaust (which isnt a loop) was more for power....
lol.... I think if you're over size 34 waist it'll be uncomfortable....
I remember reading all the wheels and motor magazine reviews all complaining about the seats..... that's because they're all...
The engine changes are:
CR 11.5:1
Redlines at 8400
100 RON fuel
Slightly bigger intake manifold
Different CAT and variable pressure exhaust
Variable Camshaft timing only intake (or was it...
Nope, he's spot on. Emissions only.
The newer Honda engines are the 'wrong' way around - East/West as compared to the traditional West/East.
Lol, if u want to know how a type R performs on the track, go race one..... a huge rear wheel drive kW monster isnt everything.... :)
Getting back to the point of the discussion... no, I dont think the LS2 is anywhere near the best V8 in the world.... Sure it's cheap for a huge displacement engine but whilst most other engine...
i used to go to robert lane... a little pricey but very good service
dont really know but asymmetrical patterns may not necessarily be able to be rotated to all 4 positions - the higher end tyres are still directional.....
from my eye ball opinion, it seems like...
Mmmm the US guys that did the elise/K20A transplant have done a supercharged version too....
short ram induction
basically a pod filter on a stick
Mmm I think the difference is that Mugen are more conservative and Injen more out spoken. Mugen has a heap more R&D than Injen.
dont get an apex SRI - I've seen 2 seperate dynos now and they both lost power or made jack all difference....
Oh yeah a few more things:
An intake does make a difference but dont expect anything too huge....
I have a dyno from the Mugen catalog for DC5R - the Mugen intake on a JDM DC5R with the Mugen...
u dont need an aftermarket front bar, but without it ur not getting the full potential out of the mugen
the mugen snorkel ends up sucking air from just above the radiator
pg 103....
interesting test.... very fair comparison only thing the DC2 had toyo tyres
depends on how much u want to spend.....
money not an issue - gruppe M or Mugen if u have an aftermarket front bar with the air intake slot
bang for buck - injen CAI or AEM CAI
