I changed my '98 ITR LSD gearbox fluid with Motul FF-LSD Type 2 75W90 oil (green color fluid). The gearbox takes approx. 2.1-2.2 liters when the gearbox is at room temperature.
CRV engine == K24A1 block has a lower static compression ratio (9.6) and in my POV it's less optimum for K24/K20 frank motor. Perhaps upgrading to a higher comp. piston like the Accord Euro pistons...
I have a B16A motor with some miles on it. Recently, the motor could not start up properly while it's at operating temp.. The motor would life up for less than a second and dies off. Crank it again...
i'm using a lighten alloy crank pulley and improvements are very minimal even on my worked top n bottom B16. Motor responsiveness noticable improvement only on low to mid rpm. I'd say money better...
i have a 120,000km ITR LSD box with 4.7 final drive. I drive hard and use honda oil. 3rd gear synchros crooked as well. sometimes, can't even downshift at highspeed at all.
i was dreaming then accidentally downshifted and rev till 11krpm on B16A for 1 second long...FREAKED! it's got titanium springs n retainers though... wonder if that would damage anything...
