I don't think it matters if it is high temp fluid or not, as long as it is dot 3/4 fluid.

Change the oil to Red Line shockproof gear oil, I had a crunchy 2nd gear in my S14 and it solved the issue straight away :)

Take the car for a drive and clear out any deposits that may have accumulated in the last 2 weeks.
