Check / change fluids.

No loose items in the car (remove everything from the glovebox, boot etc-).

As said light wheels are great... weight reduction is always going to be a good thing (acceleration, braking, handling) but its even better when you reduce unsprung mass or in this case rotating mass...

RWD or FWD it doesnt matter... if the person behind the wheel cant drive the car is going to be slow.

bendix ultimates are shit...

we have them on the mx5... they do work and i havent had them fade but there is no feel which IMO and MANY others makes them a shit pad.

Whilst i havent used EBC...

so it sounds like your getting brake fade after a few laps on the track.

IMO your going to have a much better result with higher quality pads.

i personally dont have any experience with the tyres but a few of the mx5 owners think Rre001 > rt615.

Also from what i understand the re001 is a very well priced tyre.

re001 & rt615 etc are a high performance street trye.

If you want a proper R compound choose from the following:
R888
Dunlop D02 or D03 <<< From what i hear the best.
Yoko A048
Re55
V700
...

Cant really tell the difference in 1st, 2nd its easily noticable (IMO).
