im not sure about your car,but my mazda had a similar problem and it was the sensor in the tank.
are you sure the light is surposed to come on,i thought that the light only came on when fuel was...
i think your oil pump would be ok,i dont think its a common problem.
if your worried about it why dont you get an oil pressure gauge just for some peace of mind.
