Not sure..but had a similiar sort of problem with my fd civic,,the problem was power steering fluid was leaking through a crack in the steering rack...Sent it for service...but had to order new rack...
quick question..what about the reverse. scenario.using 98 or 95 on car factory recommended to run on 91?? Any consequences to that? None that I can see off

ive got a 93 eg4 GL which im not mistaken is a 1.5L twin carb. and thats a d15b something as well. I just got this eg and in the process of learning as well.
My steering rack is crack somehow..and im loosing power steering fluid..which makes funny ufo noises when engine is cold..sent to honda. all they did was toped up fluid and made a report to honda...
ive got tat weak engine start a few times...but very rare.IMO...the problem i think for me is when i dont turn the ignition properly and that is when it happens...(as in when you dont turn the key...
Yeah thats why they told me when asked them last..it takes them 1.5 hrs i think to install...i said ill supply my own genuine honda fd foggies when i send the car for service next.

dude...its a bit frustrating actually that not many mods can be done as yet in terms of engine performance. When i bought the civic in aug 2006..it was still new..didnt know nuts abt the R18 engine...
