Lol..i actually disconnected all the stock speakers and replaced with with only a 2-way split and a 10-inch subwoofer :)

Yes I still have the stockies but its going back onto the car soon and those ssr lm9s will be up for sale once this is done. I just can't find the motivation to do it yet....

I second that. Mine is very noisy as well. Especially right after the car is jacked off the ground. After a few days of driving the fluid seems to settle down a little and the noise becomes less...

i checked mazda website out of curiosity.... they do have mounting points in the roof rail/gutter.
Similar to subarus where under the rail plastics, there are points where the roof rack can be...

yup....unless the US market has a seperate body shell, if you look on our car, there are no stock mounting on the roof rails.

Don't think so. Our car has no roof lining/rails. Hence no mounting point. The only way he did it was to drill into the roof :)

it really depends on how much the car is lowered.
with eibach springs, 18x8.5 +41 will be flush at the front and 18x9.0 +40 will be quite flush at the rear

those specs dont need any guard...

18x9.5 ET+15 at the front will be a disaster...it will not fit at all unless you have ridiculous negative camber (i.e. -8degrees)

18x9.5 ET +35 at the rear is fine
