If you had a castor problem, you will feel it in the way the steering feels. Not how it tracks in a straight line on a flat road.

It certainly IS possible to have the seat reconditioned. Do some searching at automotive interior shops. Maybe someone here will point you to a good workshop.

First, make sure the engine is warmed up when you check the oil. The car should be on a flat surface. Turn off the engine and wait a couple of minutes then measure the oil.
