i got a quote for $198/tyre fitted and balanced (205/55R16).
sounds like the general consensus so far is positive.

Anyone using these tyres? Any feedback?
Apparently they are the latest alternative to the OEM DC5R tyre.

if the the number plate is fitted within (recessed) the front grille, would that make it a defect? coz it would be slightly hidden, i would assume it would be?

can i just re-mount directly onto the front bar? shouldn't there be two screw holes to mount it...

ahh cool, so the screws are accessible from the outside without taking off the front bar?
once removed, this hole you're talking about, won't it be covered by the number plate?

My friends DC5R has an ugly black number plate mount on the front bar.
How easy is this to remove? Do i just remove the number plate and un screw this mount off the front bar? Or would i need to...

Are there any detrimental effects of having more oil in your engine? ie oil level noticeable above dipstick line.

And yes, it's because i had 18's it looks low.
the offset to my simmons rims where +38 if i remember correctly.

i'd recommend equal dropping all round as there is already a very slight forward angle on civics.
if you lower your car you're wheels will wear more on the inside.

if you're in 5th then you're out of control.

going back to the original question, i'd say the answer is: no.

if you're in gear, you're able to take your next action quicker, because you are in control.

i suggest 15" wheels for less rotational mass over the 17's.

i say if you're up for a challenge and some learning experience do a half cut and go a decent size.......maybe a b18c?........otherwise, if you don't want all that hassle just buy a coupe (EM1's are...
