well what i suggest you do is find out some specs about them old subs, most of the time the reason bass dosnt sound good is because of the enclosure that they are placed in. sealed or ported...
generally if ur just after some more bass then yea by all means just get them , just make sure u give it the right amont of power and make sure the box is designed for them subs =]

yea when u get it tuend with the imprint software....make sure u write down the settings LOL...saves u money and time going to get it redone every time
