anyway, got the p28 today and car runs much much better. the harness i was getting...

but if i get the 02 from the y1 as well as the harness and ecu its all just plug and play, right?

so tomorrow i pick up off a y1; p28ecu, harness and 02 sensor?
will all this be plug and play

i have just finished this swap.
it is a pain in the axx.
to run it in an eg you have to change the y4 to eg inlet manifold, top and rear engine mounts, dizzy, altenator, power steer pump, ...

hey did you go ahead with swap?? i am doing the same but putting it in eg8.
how did it turn out?
was there an oil control valve in thhe block?

no on the block surface. i thnk d15b7 has one. must be removed for vtec. does the d16y4 have one?

do all non vtec blocks have an oil control jet in them. what about d16y4?

when you put a vtec head y1 on non-vtec block y4, is there a plug that has to be removed from the block to allow oil to flow...

the 1 s40 is out of ek that y4 engine came from, other s40 not sure cant remember, and the s20 is the original VEI box but is noisey, which i replaced with s40 and brand new clutch. i am not using...
