So currently just did a b18c7 swap on a EM1 with stock b18c7 ecu ( Immobilizer removed)

Used a Rywire harness converter from OBD2B to OBD2A as the B18c7 is OBD2A

Current issue is my...

You have an ej8 not an em1.

So you need to convert it to a facelift which includes bonnet, headlights, ek9 grill and front bar ( BYS front bar )

Also the Em1 tail lights.

If not you can...

Get a refurbished gearbox, cost is around 1500-2000.

+1 wait till u do a engine swap and do it all at the same time.

Prob save some money from pulling the box out again.

Ek1 parts should be cheap. Most expensive is labor probably looking at $500ish to get everything put in.

I hate the black bonnet too but im not gona DIY spray a bonnet with spray cans. Prob end up looking worst.

Will leave it till i find a silver bonnet or money to spray it.

Would be asking the supplier of the engine to provide some sort of warranty esp if its from a shop.

Why didnt u ask ur mechanic when u dropped it off?
Takes anywhere between a day to a week or more. Depends if his doing it or sending it off to get done.

auto elec should of been able to bypass the whole immobiliser and start the car just to test if it turns over to see if it was the immobiliser playing up.

Clutches lasting till 60k km is fine. All depends on the style of driving, some people like to ride the clutch more or dumping the clutch launches etc.

Run the car without a thermostat if it still overheats its your radiator blocked.
