Why don't you have the car officially inspected on site. My tech does that for audi, porsche and dubs. I'm sure if you have a reputable Honda tech, they'll check it out for you. It's not free though.

Take it into your nearest service centre and complain. Take on of the service guys for a drive and point out the problems. They should be able to fit so padded tape in areas behind joints to help...

If you want a lot of space - The Jazz. Can't speak for that particular model, but the new one has plenty of it. Space was one criteria on our list, so we went with the GE Jazz.
