you can do either with the appropriate kit or mounts. I suggest you use google and do some reading ;)

you could just buy rear trailing arm bushes separately to fix your problem. it's very common in Honda's ;)

what makes you think it won't give a true indication? you want to know what it will be like without p/s. if you remove the belt, the pump no longer assists when...

It's fairly similiar if not the same, some reckon by looping the line and running fluid in the rack it makes it better/ lighter but it's more for trying to prolong the life of the rack as it keeps...
