Since this has been bumped up thread.
What's the most aggresive fitment on the GE Jazz you have seen?
I've got some 14x7 +12
Alot of mx5 guys are having the same problem, and they narrowed them down to earlier Jap spec being quite good, whereas Australian made weren't all that.
Personally I haven't had a problem
Is the jaycar amp used?
I'm guessing it's a faulty amp.
This actually works.
There was a BMW convertible left on our street with a cover, and no one took any notice of it, I assumed someone had just bought a new car..., until it was said that the car...
Go 195/50, cheap
Tyres either: Re001, T1R or R1R
Handling would be near the same.
Power is Celica for sure, better than the base dc5.
Aftermarket would be similar if not a tad more for the dc5, due to the fact you can interchange stuff with...
Just run 195/50 perfect size.
For the rear you only need to replace the wheel bearings, and can still keep the old hub.
You just need a press, to press out the old, then press in the new.
Last time I went there, I talked to a guy who imported one from US, fully riced up Honda Accord, with DVD, Tvs in the headrest, leather trim, graphic decals and of course altezza lights.

CNC bearings can get you bearing by itself.
If you get the whole hub assembly, it's just take less time and labour, as you don't need to press out the wheel bearing from the original hub, and also...
Get a pod filter, should "release" the vtec sound more clearer.
Try bridgestone Re001 adrenlin 195/55/R15- they are on special at all bridgestone tyre centres- $119
http://www.bridgestone.com.au/catalog/default.aspx
You can get them [Ze912] for $99 -assuming you want 195/50/r15
I havent found much review of them, but i know the Ziex range isquite shit especially the 326 and 329
it goes pop pop bang bang, youtube it, fricken loud.
This does not make sense.
Subs don't produce power, they handle it.
I've used a P1, while its not exactly musically great, they are good subs and don't require alot of power, but their power...
Also what do you want to use them for?
Daily? Track? Daily+Track?
If you can go for flex or mono flex.
but if it's only for street- Tein SS is fine.
yes that is okay, if u don't bridge, it's all good.
don't buy it.
Instead, there should be some sort of package at most alpine dealers.
Get the Alpine Type-S with an MRP-m450- this should cost you $400ish.
The the sub is good, but the amp is...
you would be lucky with 18WRMS from the headunit.
If you compare a full amp circuitry that's nearly twice the size of a standard heaunit.
It's no wonder external amps sound better than headunit...
Kicker comps are Sh!t.
compVR- maybe, but solobaric L7 and soloX is where it is at.
MTX jackhammer is just a gimmick.
The type-X will pound the lows, type-R will do this also.
both are great subs, the Type-R can get loud, as well as the type-X, the Type-X edges out on SQ, but they are similar.
For the price...
