but to stay on topic, i too think all the new features are unnecessary, but then im an old school net user, i dont blog, have fb or myspace, i dont bother with any of that crap, lol

Nobody's forcing you to blog. Stop jumping to your own conclusions. If you want to use it, the blog is there. If you think blogs are shitty and silly, then don't use it.
