What is the difference between the Buddy Club and this sort of grounding kit on ebay? (apart from price). They also claim more hp

Gibbo - you are the expert on this - over to you..

yfin to me the ground kit is a very pretty way of doing what any of us could do - making sure the earth/ground return system is of a high quality(by that i mean has a low resistance) this stops the earth wire acting as a resistor of sorts and by using multiple paths would help to stop any posible earth loops forming. The condenser is in effect like adding a second battery (a battery has the capacitance of approximately 1 farrad) It can be likened to intake and exhaust if it makes it easier to think in those terms. if your electrical system has more current (amps) it will not feel a drain when a high load device is being used. and if the earth is a low resistance it will mean there is no voltage drop across the return path. this will allow your cars electrical system to perform better. The similarity in the intake systam is if you can get more air in to the engine and get rid of the exhaust gases with the least amount of resistance your car will perform better. I know this is long winded but I hope it helps... P.s This is only my opinion if I'm wrong somebody please put me on the right track... cheers guys (& girls)

Yeah, like what Gibbo says. In simple speak, the ground kit ensures that the difference between +12V and ground is maintained without any increase in resistance from stock grounding design (which results in +11V or lower instead).
The condenser ensures that voltage spikes (increase or decrease) are smoothened so that you get consistent +12V and ground difference.
So one is for improving +12V and ground, and the other is for making it consistent +12V and ground (the Buddy Club does both).

I want to purchase the Buddy Club condenser too because it pisses me off when my headlight dims when the AC compressor turns on.

This my version installed on my car it is a Pivot Unit. Smaller and I think looks tidier..(my opinion) but they do the same thing.

I got mine from Singapore from the following I think it was less than $100 plus shipping details below. But can't be sure as it was a while ago and only just got off my butt and installed it. Tell him Paul from melbourne reffered you.
His prices are quite resonable and has stuff for the Jazz and Civic.

some info on Pivot Volt Stabilizer
as i know, they have two models
one is without the ground wire... (the one in Peekay's car)
the other one is like the Buddy Club one... has ground wires connecter on the devices.
the one without ground wire is about 35% cheaper then the one has it.

Thank you so much for the info Peekay!

After installation, do you still find your headlights dimming when the AC compressor kicks in?

euro77... here you are (just got my CAI installed last week )

i place the condenser to the battary cover like Peekay34 did.

this is one of the best place to connect the ground wire. (i found it in the owner's manual) is on the driver's side next to the air-con... you will see a thick silver cable connect from engine to the chassis.

P.S. the longest Buddy Club cable will not be long enough to get u there if u place the condenser where i put it. so i got 8ft 4 Gauge Phoenix Gold Power cable for tat. here is da link of the cable... is blue as well
    http://www.sfxaudio.com/products/dis...p?ProdId=61001

here is how i run through the cable.

the second place is under the air-intake box. you have to take tat off to see tat place. there you will see a thick silver cable (like above) connect to the chassis. if u not sure how to take tat the box off.. pm me

and about the third ground ... i am still looking for a good place...
i just screw it to here at the moment.

i saw FEEL's(japan) tight the ground cable to the engine near the intake part on their euro.
i dunno i should do tat or not since i am not a prorssional, i am afraid to un-tight any bolt on the engine.....

    here is their page
    http://www.hondatwincam.co.jp/info/temp2003-05-000.html

    good luck & have fun...
post it if u had any different idea.
