Me and a friend going to install it today
Front bar is off already since my car is still in the shop so half the work is done but just wonder if i should cover the CAI with a plastic bag till the front bar goes on since i dont have a hydroshield yet..

Curious... The Injen Hydroshield is it really necessary or not really?
Im going to get it but i thought i should ask.

The hydroshield is Not necessity obviously. The material of it is sorta like the material of a umbrella.. i think if you sprayed water on it, it would repel.. just like a umbrella does. But i suppose it acts as an extra level of protection..

But as most people say.. if you submerge the pod in enough water.. i doubt the hydroshield can do anything in that situation.. its there to repel the water i think.
I MISS VTEC.... BOOST is OVERATED lol

Just a sec... So you are driving around with out a front bar at the moment correct? (I don't see any problem with this, Nissan Boys do it all the time)

But while you don't have a front bar on the car you are thinking of putting a plastic bag OVER the filter element... is this correct.

Thats as smart as putting a plastic bag over your head because its raining outside.

From what i've read from this site (From people that are ACTUAL mechanics) the hydro sheild is a waste of money. If the car is going to get hydro lock, you must be in a fair bit of water, and the shild would be basically useless by that point.

If you're that worried about it
    1) Don't drive it in the rain
    2) Don't buy a Injen intake

Sorry my post is messed up man..
My car is in the panel shop but it's sitting outside, with melbournes ****ed up weather im going to put a plastic bag over it just incase it rains while the bar is off if you get me?
Knowing my panel beater after its pissing down rain, he'd probably start it up and if the pod is soaked after heavy down pour >.>

It's just until the front bar goes back on as my car is getting a respray done thats all.
Sorry if my post sounded wrong

I ain't worried about the rain, just worried while it's stationary with the front bar covering it up thats all man.
I'll drive through the rain and puddles without a problem, but not a flood lol
