S2kane is right. I spoke to Redwing Honda and they said it has arrived where the ABS is around 20K...which is 4K more than what they said a month ago.

My wife said she will consider letting me buying it if I give up Foxtel and Richmond Footy club membership....hard decision.

Quick qtn. I get my full licence in Feb/09. Is it too much of a jump from a 250 to a 1000?
I know some people have told me its all about common sense and not being stupid on it. And others say go to a 600 first then the 1000....

hmmmm prob what will get you in the most trouble is the pickup from standstill over a 250.

Take it for a test ride....see how you handle it...if ok then maybe its for you...if not then its a maybe still but you might just have to ride it like miss daisy until you get the hang of the power/torque.

I agree.. they have massive torque down low..
However they are easy to manoeuvre around and i think you will get used to in a few weeks as long as you take it easy.
So no full throttle launches off the lights !!
When i was 20 i went from a NSR250 to a 929 Fireblade easy but i had been riding dirt bikes since i was 5..
I'd give up the footy membership no probs.. but Foxtell... oohh that's tough
