    My Turbo Manifold

    Hey Guys

I’m just about ready to start putting the turbo on to my car after about 9 months of collecting all of the parts and I thought some of you might be interested in the log manifold I made for my car, I had to make my own manifold because of the engine and car I have any other manifold would not have fitted in.

Heres the butt weld fittings (steampipe) I started with

First I cut the pieces down to fit and used an old gasket to get the port spacing correct

Here it is all welded together and the mount for the flange started

Before it was fully welded together I ported it all out on the inside to remove the lips from the fittings not lining up perfectly.

And this is the test fit before it was fully welded up.

All I have left to do on it now is a little bit more porting around the flanges and it’s ready to go.

    Hope yous like it!

    Cheers
    Luke

and all up it has only cost me about $250, and it would of been alot cheaper if i could of welded it up myself. I just tacked it up and had it welded by someone else.

not yet, im going to get the turbo all sorted out and running low boost first then build the block with forged pistons an rods.
At the moment it is only 20K Kms old so its in good shape to turbo.
Ill post up a build thread soon with all the things ive got planned.

    cheers
