.. I don't think there is much point in changing to type R pistons. What's the point of these modifications ? considered larger displacement ? Turbo route ?
    Why hello there

If you instant power get a turbo. Keep in mind you cant run too much boost as the compression ratio is high.

NA - Things like light weight fly wheel will help your engine rev easier as there is less weight to move. 4.7 or higher final drive is a good upgrade aswell makeing your gearing shorter/taller. Combine the 2, and your car will accelerate much faster off the line and rev quicker/easier reaching peak power faster. Note that these mods wont make anymore power but will use your engines existing power.

the CTR pistons are the highest comp OEM pistons in the type R motors, getting the DC2R ones would wont make him have less power , their pistons are less domed - less compression, People with b18CR motors or b18c2 etc, do a 'minor' upgrade using the CTR pistons to help them yield more power from the compression increase

PS Hondaz - why do you want 'JDM pistons' if is a b16b motor, you already have 'JDM' pistons, and like I said , highest comp pistons made from the honda factory.

You want power... 1.8 crank is the way to go. Your block size is the same as a B18c. if you are staying with your CTR pistons, you need your car tuned as well... I wouldn't be running stock maps with such high compression...
