    awsome feed back guys!
im having second thoughts about buying an ES.
simply because id like a car with some degree of punch in the engine.
i used to own an EK1 and was NOT happy with that. so i dont think it will be any different with this 7th gen.

yes, i have heard the car is smooth and the aircon is awsome =D lol

    thanks guys.

feel free to add more of the,
    - Pro's: What do u like? Whats good about the car?
    - Con's: What dont you like?, What pisses u off? What is dumb about the car.
    - Problems: u have encountered, common problems
    - Aftermarket Support: what mods are out there?
    - Comparison to the D16Y predecessor?

makes a nice place where ppl can state the little things that tickle their fancies. lol

Pro:cheap for a relatively new car, especially a honda.

Con: the resale value sucks, compared to older civics.

how do you get 700km out of one tank? amazing...........

    pros:
    - quite bland, but a good thing if you don't want to attract unwanted attention
    - good to carry passengers around in
    - as mentioned b4, the earlier ones were 'Made in Japan' Civic
    - reasonably good on petrol and reliable (except for gearbox - see cons below)

    cons:
    - no power!
    - not a lot of mods out there
    - my auto gearbox died at 140K, apparently this is a design/reliability issue (?)

i agree with Riced Civic, you can make it look much better than bog stock with some nice simple mods
mine is lowered on 17s, has an RS grille, exhaust finisher, the side steps and i changed the head unit, that's it

ive actually checked once when i 1st got the car and i was bloody amazed with it. i change gears under 2500 rpm all the time. and most of the time its all cruzin. but when i get the turbo it'll prob drop to like 400 cos ill be obsessed with boost. lol

i have a 7th gen, great little car! couldnt be happier, but i am not an enthusiast like most of you, would agree that it does lack a little power, but very smooth, a little noisy though, but overall i love the car, great fuel economy as well, can get up to 600 kms on the 40L tank, i would rate it 8/10. Great car.

    EU3 CIVIC
are you thinking of modifying it?
I had a EU3 for 4 years before i sold it a couple of years back. Did some mods on it, I was purely into the handling side of things, so engine was left untouched, it was a VTi, which was a limited edition that came with the climate control (same dash found in EP3). I've spent a lot of time on researching where to get the parts & whether parts from the ES or the EP fits etc as the car is just rare, i have to say after mods, it attracted a lot of attention & thumbs up everywhere i go, i presume its because its so rare & people have no idea what car it is.

    Pros:
    -Rare
    -Very Spacious;
    -Storage Space;
-Car body was pretty stiff, no rattles even after stiffer suspensions were installed.

    Cons:
    -Steering wheel too light.
    -More Power would be nice.

    I've attached 2 pics.. :-)

I had a VI EU before for a few years..

    pro:
    - spacious: plenty of leg room in front, back and boot space was good
    - good economy

    cons:
    - i found the suspension quite hard
    - huge turning circle

    - 01 ES civic
    - full honda history in log book
    - silver
    - manual

been persuaded to find another sports car.
know anyone selling a genuine car in adelaide which isnt overpriced?.. PM me.. lols

i do admit i liked the ES ALOT but... still young and single to be settling down -_-"
