I am not on the freeway at all, country qld and secondary rural roads
Thats still a world of difference compared to where I live and work. Basically inner northern suburbs, and working inner south of Melbourne, so almost always driving in very heavy traffic..
My trip to work takes an hour during the day (each way), at midnight it would be 20 minutes... I'll go back to the train soon, once the novelty wears off ;-)

I totally agree it is a lot different to city driving, but given the right conditions it just shows how economical these cars can be and i must say it still amazes me. With an average of 6.9 (and that is reducing fractionally every week) i dont know of another car in this class that could go close to matching it.

I do drive from Melbourne to Tumut (NSW) every 4 months or so, so for that I am sure it will be great. I hope so
As mentioned previously my fuel consumption is improving with milage, but to be honest i am wondering when it will stop improving. I am continually amazed each week with the ecconomy i am getting. Over the last 6 weeks i have done 3,004 kms, with no trip further than 25km, and used 193.45 liters. To me that is unbelievable, but the end result is 6.45L/100km.
