well il start by sayin good choice in a honda dirtbike.
can i ask do you have or have ever owned dirtbikes? do you honestly no how to ride because a 450 is a hell of alota power on dirt/gravel roads so keep it in mind they can be handfull. not that im trying to deter you ! 2003 - 2005 visualy are fairly similar from memory the 05 has different tank shrouds but there prety similar. 2005 comes with renthal bars stock over the 2003 and is claimed to be abit lighter to but they claim the bikes are sooo much better every year i mean realy they dont change that much within 4-5 years.

personaly go for something as new as possible , a well maintained honda fourstroke will never let you down , but an abused uncared fourstroke engine will end up costing you a fortune

well this is going to be my first bike which im going to own.
    and i have riden a 250 and a 600.. before
    i found the 250 a bit slow.
where as the 600 was just quick and fast.
i plan to take it really easy when i first get the bike.. dont want to go to hard.
iv been taking to mates who have had 250's before but they found that they got bord of it to quick and ended up getting a 450 later on.

and i was also looking at the price difference between the 250 and 450 and would rather spend a lil bit more and a bigger bike that way i dont have to sell and buy another bike later on.

also keeping in mind im about 90kg and close to 6foot4
