About to buy DC5R and wondering...

    Hi all,

I have a choice between 2 DC5Rs which i've inspected over the weekend and was just wondering which would you guys go with. They are both accident free and they both drive pretty similiar

    $27k - 2002 Stock - ~50,000km

$24k - 2003 with few minor mods (short shifter, floor bar, engine mounts) - ~82,000km

So what do you think? Would the price justify the lower kms and stock'ness? I'm going to put a deposit this coming weekend for one of them and just curious to see the kind of feedback.

if the mods on the 03 are the only mods and ur planning on modding it anyways, i would get the 03

providing it drives good, has service history and everything else seems okay.

    thats my opinion

If you can bargain the 02 one down to about 25k, id be inclined to say go for that one despite it being stock.

as long as there is service history and you can live with the interior being slighly more 'used' then id go with the above..

when i got my dc2r in 2004 it had 70k onnit while others had 30k - but the 30k ones were selling for 34k etc - i picked my car up for 26k haha

havnt had a problem except for flat battery =)

Thanks for your feedback guys, not planning to modify. Perhaps just an injen cai. I like how the stock one wont be as easilly defected. I will further negotiate the stock one, and we'll see the outcome. Much appreciated

I prefer to buy stock cars. It'll be better to do the mods by yourself. I feel more satisfied when the mod is done by myself. Also, you mod base on what you want and what suits you or you think that suits you on the car.
Rep me if you think it is mechanically sound
