    Recent CU prices?

Heya...........wondering if anyone has bought a CU in the last couple of weeks since the car market started to cut prices to move stock?

imported cars are so screwed.........no room on margin side and cost side just increased by heaps..........

Aussie dollar dieing in the ass doesn't help. I can't see them dropping the price.

    hey MKI4EVA
i bought my black euro standard cu2 last week, and there wasn't much give on price.
Southside Honda in Brisbane was really busy when I was there, so busy that I had to book a time to come in.
Since I was there, 3 people had bought Jazz's and two others bought the new Accord Euro.
And that's in the same WEEK!
It must be used cars that are feeling the crunch...

Tried other dealers, they are just as busy.
So as far as I'm concerned the car market hasn't really budged in regards to Honda's in brissie.
Dunno about Sydney, but I only managed to shave a couple of grand of the final price.
    Which was decent.

As Type R Positive said the Aussie dollar is giving us less bang for our buck, and so all I can say is if you like it, and you have enough money, buy it. Sure look around, and get some prices, but I can only see a few hundred or a grand being cut of the final price over the next 12 months. If your lucky you might persuade them to throw in some floor mats, boot liner, 12 month rego, and a full tank of petrol...
At least its a start right?

Things look like they have sorted peaked at the moment. Thats my opinion.

they are lucky that the CU2 is a new model. Hondas generally don't discount much anyway.

I just bought a Turbo Jetta and got $9000 off the rrp drive away price. Awesome deal!

Perhaps you neglected to mention that you got Corporate Plus and the additional factory support on fleet purchases. Let's not lead people to believe that you get that off retail shall we?

But what he says is true....

Honda don't discount. I get fleet discounts and stuff through work, but get stuff all for Honda.

It is nearly embarrasing the discount I got off my Toyota Prado VX TD, like $15k+

BTW, anyone can go through a car broker and get fleet discount.

No they can't. Brokers are middle men that tell you they have buying power. They charge both the buyer and the seller and EVERY SINGLE TIME you can buy it cheaper dealing direct with the dealer. Brokers do NOT get fleet discounts. The buyer does. Most manufacturers offer corporate business because it encourages incremental sales through word of mouth. They do require some form of doucment that states employment.

Got the car serviced yesterday, Honda is doing the '08 run out sale thingy, but didn't ask what price for the CU2. Honda website says nothing....
