    Mugen ECU for K series

    Hey guys

Im looking to get a ECU for my DC5r and heard something interesting abt the Mugen ECU. Apparantely the Mugen N1 ECU tunes itself by getting readings from the sensors. can anyone confirm this?

    It's ok, (Hondata is better)
It's pre tuned & cannot tune itself except for long term fuel & knock trims.
Works well with all Mugen parts.
    Not recommended for cam changes.
Put a post up in wanted to buy section... You should find one on here for a good price.

You generally do need race hookups to get the N1 9000+ RPM version of the mugen ECU. I know of more than one in Aus though so they can be had second hand.

Mugen race parts are awesome though. Chicks dig them.

Yes it is....there is mugen Street ecu which rev to 8600rpm and Mugen N1 which rev to 9200rpm...Both of the Vtec change over at 5200rpm...race team usually use the 8600rpm one for long race and N1 for short race......They are generally about 1k-1.2k 2nd hand........about 1.8k brand new.....not sure about the price now since the exhange rate is so bad......in order to install it in audm DC5R you need to bridge a wire to your immoboliser or it won't start......also you will see the little green key light keep flashing....just ignore it........or you can pull the little green plug off behind the steeling wheel.....hope that helps..

Dont suppose you've plugged it into a 2005 DC5 Type S model before? Havent been able to find anywhere on the net about Mugen ECU (02-04) and a 2005 model....
