    fd2 engine swap

just wondering, would an integra type s engine with type R gear box fit straight in to a fd2 civic sport with correct engine mounts, or its more complicated then it is.

the only thing that complicated is how to rego, 2004-2005 engine to 2006-2008 chassis,, i think its impossible, otherwise people would have done that

true but theres always got to be a loop hole some where, and i think its posiable that you can put a type s engine into da civic sport ,

you could potentially swap the internals from one block into the other. K20a inside a K20z block.

You'd have to check with people that know k series though.

Why don't you go a k24. Would be more of an upgrade wouldn't it?

    k20z4 is for fd2

    k20z1 is for type s i think

Also k20z4 and z1 will need a different engine mount afaik (the one on the LHS of the engine)

But its probably better to just buy a type s in terms of $$ :P

or swap with euro's K24? I think its got to be the new euro rite (is it tru that the new engine has to be newer than your car year)?
