    Dc2 idle problem

    hey guys,

my vti-r idle has been playing up..when ever i come to a stop the car will idle at 2500rpm than after a couple of seconds it will idle normal again..or some days it sits at 1500rpm or .200rpm while idling and feels like the car is going to stall..does anyone know what this could be..

by the way i have cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the iacv, and the pod..

also if it helps the car sounds like it has been sucking alot more air than normal..

any help would be much appreciated..

u missed out one valve there.

    the FITV.
Fast Intake Temperature Valve. (i think -.-")

but there is another valve in there.
    it controls cold idle.
could be stuck and not letting the iacv take over controlling the idle.

i had the same problem with my s15.. though it was not idling at 2500rpm wen i come to a stop.. it will drop below 1000rpm and sit on about 200 rpm n go on mood swings..

it happened to be my air flow and wiring had it all fixed at the mechanics (it took me 2 hours to get there from the constant stalling from the revs dropping, also wen i was driving it stalled on me at 80km/h on a highway), now it drives smooth like its meant to be.

edit: also my mechanic did say the car was sucking more air than usual

i think your brake booster may have a leak or bad check valve.
IT happens , when you stop as your foot is on teh pedal right ?
