the vtir 94 model should have a weight of 1325kg
the lower models weigh in at 1200kg-1280kg
and the SRS model at 1305kg

previous owner down weight reduction maybe? have u noticed back seats missing?

100-200kg's of weight loss though? That is quite a bit. You can probably save 40kg with just light weight wheels and brakes (two piece rotors and aluminium callipers) though. Removing power steering, cruise control, air con and 4WS would probably save 100+kg more.

What did the model(s) without 4WS weigh compared to those with?

you would beable to notice quite easily if there was 200kg's missing so ill have to agree with misprint on the docket, the scales are prob just not calibrated right.

try another place and if u get 1100 again then u picked a winner prelude.

Some of the Japanese domestic market fourth generation Prelude VTECs didn't come with options such as a sunroof and 4-Wheel Steering, as it was possible to skip these options when buying in Japan.

    reference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Prelude

i guess its very possible by the looks of things...

Does it have a Sunroof? Some jap specs dont have sunroof.

If its jap spec then maybe the wieght is correct......they didnt come with a few things though.
