has anyone braked hard over a bumpy surface?
and it feels like the pedals gunna give way or hit the floor of the car?

cos it happened to me a few times...
braking hard after i hit some stupid speed on a bumpy road...
    almost lost the whole car....

My first car was nortorious for it, never found out the reason why cos i put the front of it into a side of an embankment, kinda didnt need the brakes anymore!!!!

Check your brake lines, fluid levels as there may be a block in the line, out of interest how much do you have left on your pads?

Similar thing happen to me but whenever I ride on something bumpy and brake at the same time, I feel something is 'rattling' and can feel it with my feet and could also hear it too... First I thought a tiny rock or dust or something got caught between the brakes... but happens quite often to me...only on bumps, otherwise it's just fine...
