Short Ratio B-series Gboxes?

hey guys,

what should I be looking for - if Im wanting to get a short ratio gbox to fit a B16A.

EK or DC2 Gbox?

throw me something to think about...

dont think so there is any besides type r ..

ek's are 4.4fd the ek9's have lsd

dc2r are 4.4 lsd if 96spec and other models maybe..

98spec onwards are 4.7lsd!

ur definately looking at roughly 1500$ even for the 4.4's since price has inflated abit..

imo.. get a 4.7 type r box..
or maybe a 4.4box if ur planning to throw in a aftermarket gearset anyway..

em1 & ek4 have same gearbox. The actual gears are shorter than the dc2.
The b16a2 boxes have the same gear ratios as the ITR, except the ITR has a lower FD of 4.7 + the LSD.

You mean a higher FD 4.7 > 4.4
