theres plenty of differences.... how about stop being lazy and read up on them a bit
Its amazing what you'll learn about the car you want to buy

ej8 is the prefacelift ek coupe (96-98) - badged the civic vti coupe
em1 is the facelifted ek coupe (99-00) - badged the civic vti-r coupe
ej8 comes with d16y8 (d series SOHC) engine
em1 comes with b16a2 (b series DOHC) engine (something like that code.. correct me if im wrong)

    thats basically it man..

suspension (rear has different factory subframe to EJ8 and sway bar factory), engine, gearbox, seats, cluster, armrest, interior trim, rear disc brakes, strut brace, 15" wheels, 99-00 front end (grill, bumper, rad support, lip, inner gaurds, gaurds, headlights hood), different rear bumper, ecu, wiring, tail lights, licence plate surround, vtec stickers, vtir sticker

just to name a few obvious differences on the EM1 coupe 99-00

both weigh around the same ammount, parts are interchangable, both can be made into each other

Honda still stocks parts for most of the car aparts from a few odd bits which have been discountinued (floormats, side skirts, optional front and rear lips (96-98 model, 99-00 rear lip)

The VTi-R is more desirable in factory form as it has the B16A2, but if your after doing an engine swap (and also like myself like the 96-98 front end better) each are just as good

hope that helped a bit (rep point please )
