No there's no lobe at the end.

The lobe on the end for the carbie engine is for the fuel pump. basically the lobe on the end pushes a lever which pumps the fuel to the carbie from the fuel tank.

i know that there is a ZC SOHC that has that extra lobe because there is a carb version of the same motor. Trying to find out if there is an Aus equivalent engine like the ZC and D16A8

very much doubt it man, they dont put out nearly as much power, depend on the driver a little but those corollas can be pretty quick if driven properly. ive run a couple in my DA9 and they keep up pretty well....

    D16z2

i have a d16z2 in my honda concerto which is a 1.6L SOHC engine and i have managed to beat a couple of my friends corolla's. My car had no modifications at all at the time and it even had an auto g'box.
