Spare tyre, leave it or take out?

Just wondering how many of you take out your spare tyre from the car. Because I feel the driving experience improves quite a lot. however, i think i would leave the spare tyre in the car if gonna have a long journey. What's your thoughts?

yup, +1 to leaving it in.

if you really want that extra bit of weight reduction, then get on a treadmill...or don't take passengers. lol

    ROFLMAO!!!!

    OP - YOU FUNNY F**K!!!

Sif it'll make much difference when your driving on the streets. The wheel would only be around 18-20kg full size 17" alloy stocky incl of tyre.

You won't be gaining much but maybe slight feel.
I feel sorry for you if you do run a flat, keep the spare in to save you troubles worries and laughs from other drivers.

unless your going to track your car, 1/4 mile then you should take it out for it.

have driven cl9 base model before, then the current luxury model i have makes me feel the car is sooo heavy...
Well, the assumption is, if I drive the car in Melbourne city only, if something happens, i will ring RACV, and let them towed my car to a near repairer
But if I plan to go some where far away, I would leave the tyre in the car to avoid any troubles.
In doing so , well, the driving experience is more enjoyable and save petrol........

trust me you won't save much petrol to be honest. Saving fuel really depends on the driver mainly.
CL9 base and CL9 lux are different by extra 60kg or so. (approx a extra person)

Also are you comparing between diff transmission too or both manual or auto?

yes, so the spare tyre alone is almost 20kg, quite heave though. and actually, the driving experience is improving for this tiny weight reduction. possibly , i get used to the cl9 base

Keep the tyre in there. Even if you take the spare tyre out, it isn't going to turn the Euro into a super handling sports car.
