    I think in the final picture the paint is still wet thats why it doesn't look good? Am I right

    cool...im planning on doing the same ( leaving the cover in there) because:

    1. too tightarse n cbf changing the valve cover gasket
    2. too lazy to do a proper job, im just spraying normal paint over my current cover to mask the crappy original paint.
