    Brandon's H2B Build 150kw of N/A power

Thought i share one of my mates build. There are only a few of these h2b build in Australia, so they are pretty rare.

The car had originally a JDM B18cR motor package roughly 12 months ago pushing out 130kw with Intake, Dave's Custom headers and Crome ECU (Dave Tuned). Brandon ran a best of 13.8@101mph on street tyres, stock sussy and first time out as a driver at the drags and the car. It was a awesome effort!

Getting slightly bored over the 1.8l displacement, i drilled him with the idea of running a h22a and running 12second down the 1/4mile cheaper than doing a K swap. With one of the H2b kit laying in my backyard and a H22a type S engine most parts were ready for the transformation.

The initial goal was to get roughly 140-145kw and run high 12's for the first outing. The motor package had exceeded everyones expectation. Here is a quick run down of the motor package:

Stock Unopen H22a Type S motor (rated @ 220hp at the flywheel)
    Euro R Intake manifold
    Skunk2 70mm Throttle Body
    RMF Rep Headers
    3inch Exhaust system
    Evolution H2B kit
Custom intake with Blox Air filter combo
    ITR gearbox
    Exedy HD Clutch
Crome ECU + tuned by Dave
    98RON

    Dyno Graph

As you can see from the graph the H22a motor made a whooping 150.3kw at the wheels @ Insight Motorsport. Its a pretty crazy figure for an unopen motor!

Car went down the 1/4mile a couple weeks ago. Car was equiped with 22inch slicks and the usual weight reduction (rear seats and spare tyre out). Brandon did a best of 12.8@108mph . He did a good job handling the car as the wheel alignment was off as the car tended to steer right when power was applied.

Stay tuned for further result and development of the car and engine package. The ultimate goal is to run low to mid 12's with a H22a.

    To put things in perspective:

    OEM motor = reliability
    Cheaper than K swap
    Run 12's
    Unique

Its a big for H2B set-ups!!! If you want more info on H2B, search it on honda-tech.com
