try to use an "ignore it and it should go away" approach.

hes got a low premium because he has a massively high excess, its a risk but it can pay off if you dont have an accident

I'm a 20 year old student who lives in a high risk melbourne suburb, and I'm with Western QBE (ie: ING, most Credit Unions, etc use them) and I pay $2300 a year premium. However I have an excess of $700 should anything happen.

When I looked at JustCar I had a premium of $1400 but an excess of close to $3400. I went with QBE lol. Smarter option I thought.

WOW insurance is expensive for preludes o.O
Have you tried putin ur dad's (or any1 thats been driving along time) on your insurance as main driver, and you as the second driver who only drives "a few" times a week?

Yeah I did try that, but there were two reasons why I couldn't do it:

    1) I took out a loan on the car, and when they saw that it was financed under my name but my dad was the primary driver, they queried it and denied it.

    2) I've established my driver history. Having yourself as a secondary driver means you have to wait two years before going up one rating. I'm already Rating 3 at 20, most of my mates are still Rating 5 because they've never insured their own car.
