Thread: Power Fc

  1. #1
    Hi there all
I'm kinda new to this forum. I own a 94 crx with the b16a2 running a OBD1 stock computer setup, I recently purchased a set of toda b cams and high compression forgies, springs, retainers, rods, etc and i would like to run a Apexi power fc computer. They only come for two different models the EK CTR and the DC2 ITR which i believe are both OBD2. Is there a way i could use these ECU's and if so which one will be better suited to my car.

    Thanks

Those are two totally different ecu's you listed above. They look like a pretty featured unit, quite expensive also. Personally i would try selling it to someone on skyline au and go for an aussie built full ecu. You will get the same features but better tuners and know compatibility for ur car.

Hondata has a very good solution for you, check out www.hondata.com a s200 unit (800$or so) will allow you to custom tune your stock Honda computer extending the RPM up to 11,000 rpm and allow your car to be perfectly tuned in both fuel and ignition vtec etc in both open and closed loop.

You already have the perfect ECU OBD1, an obd1 ECU does everything you could ever need, you just need to harness the power.

I founded Hondata Australia just over 3 years ago where we began testing etc, and have 4 associated workshops now in Melbourne who are authorised tuners and resellers, im in the process of teaching / authorising 1 or maybe 2 workshops in Sydney and Queensland over the next 2 weeks when I fly interstate. Currently if a customer in syd, qld, adl requires and tune or Hondata I fly up and install my self.
    Normal RRP is $820 (89-96) installed for a s200 baseunit for obd1 cars add a extra 800 for ob2 cars (post 97+)

Tuning in Melbourne is around 200$ per tuning session, I offer interstate tuning for free if the customer organises dyno time. Only authorised tuners can tune Hondata due to Hondata compiling with ADR 37 rules and regulations making it fully EPA legal if installed and tuned by us.
