So you cut into our harness to hardwire a new harness ?

Did you make sure that you are connecting all wires to the correct colours ?

The two wire plug has power and GND (Earth). the three wire has GND and two power. One is for the light; the other continues on to another power requirement. Not sure where as I'm not at my car ATM but can check tonight. But it sounds like you hooked up the wrong PWR wire - try the other one!

For future reference, the way to do this job correctly is to do one wire at a time, cutting and reconnecting each one. Then you don't get stuck with trying to match wires.

It's probably shorting out somewhere... Make sure your wires aren't touching eachother too...

if ain't working check the bulbs, check the fuses making sure you didn't blow any of them, rewire it with solder electrical tape, get a test light test for earth and power,
