    It's super easy.

    Undo 6 screws on the centre console as pictured (3 on each side), remove the console and underneath there will be 2 screws on the shift boot. Just remove and replace!

    With the gearknob, as MikeyG mentioned, unscrew and screw!

    Lip Kips = $160 per piece
    Grill = $90

    That and everything else from JDM Yard. They're having a sale now so get it before 30th April!

    most likely he's put it in. very common for us cxi owners to swap out the cluster for a gli one so we have a tacho. i know i have

    but i did notice the aircon aswell, which my cxi came without. i thought it was standard without.

    Wow really? I didn't know it came without air standard.

    A search on Drive appears that the 1997 CXi model has air as a extra for $2000+. Mine's a 2000 model so it may have been standard then or the previous owner must have put it in.

    So I've spent the last 2 weeks doing some DIY painting on the lip kits and grille. Unfortunately due to the blistering cold weather in Canberra and the fact that I don't have a closed-up garage the paintwork came out not quite to the standard I was expecting.

    Nevertheless I'm still happy that it's done now so here are some pics! Thanks to another OH member for helping with the install.

    First the sanding (800 - 1500 - 2000), then 2 coats of primer:

    Then 2 coats of paint - mixed from Autobarn:

    Installed yesterday:

    Finally today I put the microsuede bought from Spotlight to good use. Didn't have time to do the door trim so I started off with the arm rest:

    Let me know what you guys think!

    I also managed to remove my hatch trim and removed the rear wiper. Wasn't too hard but I need to find a rubber plug for the hole and find out how to remove the wiper motor as you can't just unplug the wiring attached to it. So I put everything back together LOL.
