satrias arent THAT bad as a car, but in the end everytime someone asks what you drive youll have to explain to them its a proton "but its a GTI and its pretty quick etc etc"

believe me youd rather a manual vti-r anyday, be it prelude, integra or civic

yea i know, but im just camparing it to what id be paying for a honda, wether its a civic, prelude or integra

a 2000 model gti with less than 140xxx on the clock will go for around $7500

a manual vti-r wont go for less than 10k, and will prob have more kms

when you buy a satria gti, all you get is a 1993 mitsubishi mirage with a lancer gsr motor.

its a ripped off version of a mirage cyborg r, which has a lovely 1.6L mivec donk

well if cost is a real limiting factor than your choices will be a bit limited.
as said above a satria is still a mirage basically.

a much better car that should be in the price range would be a pulsar SSS. SR20 motor and a pretty good looking thing too.

N15 would be my pick as N14 pulsars are getting old now

yea i had a look at a N15 sss, but i think the gti is a better drive, and better looking!

I've done my research, and it kinda makes me confident now cos i know the satria Gti originated from Mitsubishi...
and i know Mitsubishi has a good reputation with the lancer gsr/evo

its ashame the Gti has a proton badge and not a mitsubishi :P
