    mate i was being sarcastic lol referring to the black mirage (proton satria) posted by koj in post #20. thats a mirage we never got in australia and thats what the proton satria is based on...

    fair enough... i wouldnt even bother with a mirage, i only like the proton cos its a standout.. and it has a good engine.

    The black proton above looks alright, but thats cos you can barely see the proton badge. And its really shiny. If it was any other colour it wouldnt look as good.

    the gti is till "fun".

    the engine is an absolute nugget but the sussy is quite awesome... i forgot how slow the car was after taking it through a mountain run back in the days.

    you'd still get your 15sec 1/4 mile out of it with the basic i/h/e mods but the car obviously isn't made for that... but then again who cares... i've seen the turbo 4g63 engines off the gsr sell for around $1500 or less... maybe a project for later.

    your stock vtir will never out handle a stock proton gti, from factory the GTi handles like its on rails!

    But I would't be caught dead with that proton/mitsu engine.. I think my sohc vtec puts out more power lol..
